you've just never played a game where the hip firing is like this. When you are close to an enemy people usually try to melee eachother or hip fire eachother, and rolling makes melee miss. Uncharted is the fastest paced multiplayer cover shooter I can think of outside of Warframe
I think the blue explosion was the enemy guy's special ability; maybe it was a healing thing for himself. The ability is just on a cooldown like in Overwatch.

If you are the type of person that really likes to explore and find everything. This is a 20 plus hour game. This is the first game in the series that I actually feel compelled to look at everything. I'm sure even though I've played the single player multiple times, that there are optional dialoges that I have missed, and other little easter eggs. It is a great game all around. I'm still on the MP and will be for quite some time. I only dropped Among Thieves multiplayer for the Drake's Deception beta. I'll be on it for a while.
I didn't enjoy it, so I can understand why there wouldn't be as much around it.
The only real silver lining to the game, for me at least, is that they put cheats back in, which I was sad to not see in the third game.
Also, there was no cuhrazee supernatural shit, which I was super bummed by. I was anticipating pirate ghosts all game, but there was nary a pirate ghost in sight.

This one is also the hardest game to play on the Crushing difficulty. I've beaten all the other Uncharted games on Crushing without having too hard a time, but this one is much much harder. I wish that Crushing difficulty wasn't an unlock, because most people only play these games through one time on the medium mode and don't care to go through it again. I'm sure that the mode is locked from the start so you have to play the game more than once, and also to make the trophy hunters have to play it twice. It is a shame because all of the Uncharted games are the best on Crushing, and most players NEVER touch it.

Max Payne 3 is only just now able to be spoken of on /v/. It was the whipping boy on this board for years, and it was and still is a really good game. While the shooting mechanics in Uncharted for are alright on single player they really don't compare to Max Payne 3. Both games also have really exceptional online play.

I played the beta of the multiplayer because it didn't require a ps+ subscription to play.

I agree that MP3 is great, but the AI is pretty bad sometimes. Both of them have really fun combat, it's just that MP3 is all combat, and Uncharted cycles between combat and platforming and puzzles.

I have a buddy that got wrecked over and over again because he was trying to play the game as a traditional cover shooter. The AI will just rush you and put you down. It's really funny to watch. I had to take the controller away from him and show him what you are supposed to be doing. It is one of my favorite games, as is Uncharted 4. I don't understand why I'm 'not allowed' to have that opinion. I also enjoy puzzle games and fighters and just about every type of game in between.

On your first playthrough you often do have to think about where to go. It's usually fairly obvious, but sometimes you get stuck for a minute or two. I have seen anons on this very board complain about how the Madagascar part sucked because it took them two hours of driving in the jeep. They were just constantly getting lost.
