It's not really a Remaster so much as a HD rerelease, and even with the look of the textures I wouldn't call it HD.
They're selling the game on just "graphical improvements" and the ability for console mod support, just a game of the year edition for current gen priced as a new game.

I'll give points for trying with Skyrim. Yes the questlines were non-sensical and gutted, yes the game had it's expected share of bugs, yes there was a lack of attention to detail or just lack of effort. But it was still more of a complete attempt than Fallout, which completely gutted the RPG aspect of the game with only improvements to combat really.
At least there are mods to fix what was missing to Skyrim's questlines and the fact that it's not voiced makes it easy. No such thing with Fallout 4, unless modmakers go to extreme lengths to salvage and fix the main questline.

To add to my point, I heard some story, could be bullshit, could be true, the mage questline was fucking butchered as we know, takes ten minutes to do and is a complete joke, as is the city of Winterhold, which was one of the greatest cities, in the far snowy north, on the edge of the world. Now what I heard from some cunt on the internet if I remember right is that the Mages caused the collapse of Winterhold with the Eye of Magnus, or that Thalmor guy did anyway, thanks to some time warping shit, the questline would have you fix this and restore the entire city as if it never happened. So this is pretty much nothing, right? Just a filter over the game? Now I see why it's free if you own it on PC, I can only see the appeal if you're on console.
