So let's start with weapons. In the multiplayer footage we've seen, virtually everyone has an automatic or semi-auto weapon, but in reality semi-auto weapons were reserved for special functions and automatic weapons (aside from actual mounted machine guns) were virtually non-existent, only a few hundred prototypes were made by any of the factions by war's end. They were around, but you'd rarely if ever see one used on the battlefield in 1917, a better system would limit these weapons to only a few players on each team if including them at all. Realistically, 90% of players would be using a bolt-action, unscoped rifle with the remaining 10% wielding specialty weapons such as trench guns. Furthermore, nobody would have a pistol except for commanding officers and a few specialists (such as tank crews or aircraft pilots). Sidearms should be extremely rare.
