I thought DaS2 was pretty good. I don't get why people hated it.
My favorite so far.
DS3 was a little too forced sick darkkk for me
DS1 was just too rugged and unpolished
DS2 was that perfect game, plus it had twinblades.
I beat all the bosses in DS3 way too fast, where as I still haven't even done twin pursuers in DS2 on any of my games

So I've been using my second character; originally I played a Scythe of Want Hexer. Now I'm playing a Grand Lance Miracle user but I have no idea what Miracles to use. Is Sunlight Blade worth it? All Lightning Spears are worthless now with 2/3 casts per spell and a lot of others seem shitty. What Miracles would be best for a Lance user?

I found I died more in DS2 simply because I couldn't adjust to the new combat. Not even to bosses, they all went down fairly easily, just normal enemies. Iron Keep itself killed me at least 5 times more than smelter

I like Dark Souls 2 for its overall faster gameplay and better combat, however that health bar going down each time you get killed and do not use a human effigy makes it much more frustrating to try and continue. If Dark Souls 2 had a similar system of gaining humanity to Dark Souls, then I would be down to beat it, but it is hard to motivate yourself to continue through it when you can't buy anymore Effigies and your health has been permanently cut in half.

I played through the game on my first character and it took like 80 hours to explore everything, including all DLC.
When I played it a second time I used the ring from the moment you get it and finished everything in 40 hours.
Granted they should explain at least a little better what stuff does, but it IS there.
