They've only put out, like two game systems in their history that were more powerful than their contemporaries. The SNES and the N64. The wiiU has been on the market 1 year longer than the PS4 though and the wiiU targets last gen hardware which makes games quicker and easier to develop for.
By the end of this year and early next year the PS4 will already answer to the wiiU's exclusives with newer, better and more graphical and technically ambitious games.

Gameplay looks perfect but video looks very pale (stream quality=/=real quality I know) but image simply isn't clear(not sure how to describe, it's like sun rays are constantly on the screen). WW HD looks better because it's at least clear IMO. It will probably look great on NX but I don't like how it is now on the WiiU version. It's not a big deal if gameplay is great but I can't wait to see NX version.

If that is the final build and if they did release Zelda in it's current state I would be horrified. The game clearly isn't ready in more ways than one and I assumed they were spending the rest of the year to optimize it properly for the wiiU and weed out bugs and technical issues.

True but Wii was most sold console in history so they tried to make Wii2 (and named it WiiU confusing everyone if it's a gamepad or a console). Wii brought them so much success but it also changed their strategy for gimmicks and association with Wii combined with poor marketing and they got a weak console nobody even heard of.
I think they learned now that nobody cares about gimmicks anymore, they just have to get rid of cancer that is amiibo.
