It's only uncomfortable on your skin if you're naked and sitting for a while. I have a probably cheaper version than the pic and nothing is coming loose yet after like 6 months. It doesn't bend nearly as far as a hammock so you aren't getting squished or anything.

I got this to replace my old chair a few months ago. I got a cheaper smaller chair first without testing it but it wrecked my neck. My old chair had no head rest but it was high enough to rest your neck on. Went up to Ikea and tested all the chairs and that was the best one. The only problem is I'd like it to be able to go a bit lower. There is also a little metal click in lock mode when I lean back that I don't think was there on the first day. The armrests and everything else are fine.
