Its just not that great. Its gunplay isn't very fluid , its balance is okay at best and usually you see the same top tier team comps , and aside from maps sucking too their isn't much depth to most characters.
Its one of the most mediocre games i've seen people rave about. It combines the two things casuals eat up nowadays team based yatta yatta and easy to master low skill ceiling gameplay.

Evolve is the bastard son of Left 4 Dead's Versus mode. If people are complaining about Evolve, then it's their fault, when there's games before it that could've gave them a taste of things to come. Left 4 Dead's Versus mode is a unbalanced mess. So it shouldn't be a shock that Evolve is the same way.

I'll be honest about this. The first run of this game was great fun, I played with a friend and I was a robot that charged my enemies and beat the shit out of the aliens with my Robo-fists. Much fun was had first play-through, but there was zero re-playability. Endgame is atrocious, all bosses are bullet sponges. Last game I ever bought Day One. Then came the DLC info and announcements, absolute cancer. gaming industry is dead.
