So I picked up Dragon Quest 8 today after dropping it sometime ago. And after remembering how comfy the game was I began to feel kinda shitty...
Because this 3ds port is gonna be ass. And the game doesn't deserve that. It has such beatiful art, graphics and music. And the 3ds isn't capable of doing it justice.

I've played it already.
- Shittier graphics
- Some censorship
- Two new characters, who are both great
- Two new dungeons, though one is just a series of buffed up bosses
- Auto maps for all but one dungeon
- On screen encounters
- Instant alchemy
- Save anywhere
- Picture sidequest
- New SS rank in the arena
- Can see how much EXP you need to level up in the menu
- New costumes

I actually haven't played the PS2 version, but I have listened to some of its soundtrack and it sounds pretty good in DQ VIII 3DS.

They were listed as physical on Amazon I think, but those pages disappeared not long ago. Not sure if they're back or not.
