- Little variety in locations, it's just one planet like SO1 but even that game had varied locations in one plant, you will literally retrace your path to previous areas in SO5.
- Camera is not perfect.
- Switching characters mid-battle sometimes can net you an instant "You ran away from the battle" event, since AI controlled characters are often seen doing their thing off the battle circle.
- Many of the "cutscenes" are just characters talking to each other mid-field, the cinematic events are few and far in in-between
