Actually the environment will be the same as well. The director just said that specific section wouldn't be in the game. What he meant is that there won't be a "escape the house" objective or part. The house itself, family man, dummy finger and even the ghost girl could very well appear in the main game.

It's extremely likely that Hills was going to end up being a third person game, and also very likely that REVII is also going to be third person, maybe with a first person/VR option.

The only literal difference between older RE and this new Teaser that reveals almost nothing, is 3rd person tank controls, which fucking suck. You have no idea what the finished project is going to be and most likely it's going to be soft action focused on puzzles in a first person invironment. By soft action I mean guns, but with actual limited ammo. VR is just to push hardware.
