What does the book sumptious garden do? There's so many items I don't understand the effects of.
I've got Kirilo, Juanita with the warscythe thing, a mage and then a skill monkey with blast just for good measure and the game has stopped being a challenge. Does the difficulty ramp up again?

It's a weapon you can equip, but it's unlucky effect means it has a chance of lowering your damage output.
I think valuable means that's how much it is worth when you sell it, but I haven't tried to sell anything yet.
It is also used to recruit Vankan if you don't already have him.
So I'm guessing rolling an Orc has no impact on passives or stats.
At least they have the cooler sprite poses.

Main character can be whatever you want. There are at least two unique female characters: an angry black axe lady, and a lady crusader. If you don't get them during jailbreak, you can find them later. There's several monstergirls, including slime girls, harpies, dryads, witches, brown cannibal ladies with scythes and huge crits. Positioning is key for earlygame, faggot. Also learn move your tank closest to enemies so they attack him. Holding Shift allows you to do a risky action, upon success you can act again within that same turn, use this to set up your turn order in a way that you can just wail on shit 6+ times in one turn.
This goes on and on until you fumble, miss or do a regular action. Your risk gauge is indicated by a tiny orange bar, it is reset at the beginning of each turn. Read the tutorials and Press H/F1 for help.
If you don't know you're turn order you might as well stick to Pokemon.

I don't know what the fuck lenses are useful for but to make magic rings you use rare gemstones.
Don't use them for that though because there's a blacksmith who says he can make an uberring if you bring him all 5 kinds of gemstones and you probably have to ransom them from monsters if you use up the ones found in the world.

Have you read the skill descriptions? Each utility branch has one, with Weave being the strongest because it lets you talk with anything.

The ubering is just a mood ring. You can potentially have it be 3 different alignments because every time you select a different character with a different bond type it changes colors.
You'd have to bring 1 bonded, 1 almost bonded and 1 non boned character to do that, which is kinda inefficient. If it was just some super ring that always hit the enemy with what they were weak to and always defended against magic as if it were strong that'd be cool, as it is I'd almost prefer to just swap out the different gem types.
If you wanna use the Pox magic type it's the only way to I think though.

Inventory are those grey boxes above your character info boxes. Equipment slots are the sword, shield and hammer icons above your character stats. Just gotta click the item, and drop it into one of those slots. Inventory is separate from equipped items.
Most characters can only carry 2 items in their inventory at first. You can store items at your stash when you establish a stronghold.

If you have your weave upgraded to the 4th diamond, you have "MindSpeak". Which can recruit animals. While in recruiting humanoids, the Labor utility is best. The thwart ability if improved has the best chances in using RANSOM to get uncommon items (potions, gems,armor)
