The few episodes of You Don't Know Jack with Jon are pretty funny, too.
Super Gaming Bros is alright, but a little dry at times. BrainscratchComms is a little more consistent, but two of the four main guys are dullards, and one of the remaining guys is an excitable kid who seems to have ADD.
I'd recommend goon LPs, but they're not holding up with time. I should have guessed that people who find Jim Sterling funny wouldn't be entertaining, but nowadays the SA LP thread is just meta bullshit (TieTuesday), kind-of-informative CYOA shit (Mega64) or casual uploaded streams that lack cohesion and feature annoying people (Smite, Psych)

I think watching LPs for fun is a past time for legitimate simps. The whole "But you watch people participating in other past times" argument is a cop out because nobody in their right mind would ever watch somebody else watching a movie or listening to music because there are literally 1000 ways to actually watch said movies and listen to said music. Jon knew his presence on the show was giving millions of people he didn't know a window into his personal life and he didn't like that at all (this is not baseless speculation, he's said this much on a podcast before). So the window shut. And the show went on. You watched two people in the same format, but you weren't really watching *them*. You were watching an act, in lieu of a friendship being irreparably destroyed. But ultimately, an 'act' was what it should have been in the first place. Jon's chemistry with Arin was a bond you couldn't recreate, even with someone as great as Danny.
Knowing all that, and still watching it every day? Couldn't do it. And I can't really blame anybody for that.

The only thing I've ever really watched was ENB's Dark souls let's play. He's the guy who got hired for writing the strategy guideds for both DS and BB and knows so fucking much about the lore. The gameplay is secondary as he mostly just keeps talking about every little thing, and as I love the lore, it was amazing. I used it more as a podcast in the background, since I know where he was going by what he was talking about.

Unlike what some people like to believe, not everyone out there is a cold, heartless shell of a man who just puts on a smile and grits their teeth everyday for a decent paycheck. Only big-name e-celebs can get away with that shit AND make a profit out of it. Regardless, there are people out there that do it for fun and to make us laugh, cry, think, etc.
As for the whole "they don't even like the fans" thing, doesn't really concern me as long as I'm entertained and not paying for it, and if they want to do something as stupid as commit social suicide, it's really no skin off my nose. Ted is okay but he gets too excited and emotional sometimes and some of his opinions are retarded (Sonic Boom is better than Hyrule Warriors because Boom has 3D grass, Pokemon Gen 4 sucks because of the Physical/Special split). Plus he really is the kids of the group.
Lewis gets on my nerves. He won't shut the fuck up about how unrealistic video games are unrealistic, if it's a game he doesn't care for he always tries to derail the commentary with Sonic or whatever game he's playing instead of watching the videos, that annoying snicker-inhale laugh of his. On the other hand he's fun to listen to when they're all together playing something and when they're doing a game he does like he's much more enthusiatic.

The first part of Wheel of Fortune was their best series. Once round 2 was uploaded, the novelty wore off and you were watching a regular Wheel of Fortune game where the guy you're rooting for hardly wins anything.

His channel is "Lying Figure", and he does the comfiest, lore-intensive (he calls it a "lore-play" instead of "lets-play") of the Silent Hill games. He's done 2, 1 and nearly finished 3. Dude only has like 100 subscribers at the moment but he's fucking awesome.
Other than that I don't really care for LPs. I've never found any that were all that interesting. I watch a couple of /v/ related youtubers but not for LPs, except for this one guy Fluxtrance that did a couple of really cool cities on Cities: Skylines, but lately he's been doing a lot of the intensive "boring" (to other people, apparently) shit in timelapses, and thats the shit I was really living for watching, so I haven't watched him in a while.

Emile and Tom are weird counterpoints. Tom makes cringy jokes in an almost-reserved manner that generally reference memes, while Emile yells loudly and often.
