A feel that gets me everytime is trying to get into WoW vanilla to explore the world and have an adventure like the old days, only to find myself alone in a barren wasteland without friends and everyone rushing to get 60 because they have leveled 1000 times already.
I once played in a MoP low populated private server from 1-60 where I saw at most 30 players through the whole thing, maybe even less.
Playing such a huge MMORPG alone from start to finish is a surreal and sad/creepy feeling.
I stopped at Silithus, I had no reason to keep going and I felt legitimately sad because it reminded me that I never got to experince WoW back in the day even though I really like the world/lore.
