castlevania is IGA's life. You can tell how much he loves it. He got dressed in character and pretended to be vampire and you can tell by how he talks he knows all about the the obscure lore and the advanced techniques players have discovered in his game. If I recall he started his career as a programmer for Castlevania 3 and has been on the staff in just about every game since than.
The man loves his series and it shows.

Other than the two last games, Ecclesia and PoR, his vania's are highly homo-erotic. The main girl in HoD is basically a fujoshi who serves as a passive observer concerning the relationship between Ayami Kojima's two bishounens. I think she got some input over the story.
Seriously the most common trope in homolust is that there are two former friends, one of them becomes evil and the other has to win him back. This scenerio is played out between two male characters in nearly every iga-vania. In other words the relationship between male characters often exceeds the relationship with the female characters who function more as observers than actual love interests, the only real exception I can think of is DoS.
