It's probably because W101 tries to actually mix up its gameplay with the new unit morphs you get. By the end of the 2nd chapter, I already had double the abilities I started with in that game, while in Bayo 1, after fighting Giant Head Snake Lord guy, I was still doing the exact same thing I was doing in the tutorial. You just suck at Bayonetta. Having played a lot of W101 and also adoring that game, to say that it is infinitely more complex and varied is laughable. I'm not implying that W101 is not complex but frankly to say that it is vastly more complex than Bayonetta just shows how little you know of Bayonetta's mechanics and gameplay. In W101 you have for every weapon a basic combo by hitting A, a rising, a stinger and a spin. It's combo variety comes from changing weapons and using multiple unite morphs at once. In Bayonetta you are limited to only two sets of weapons at once and can only use one at any given time. However you have all that W101 does and then a whole bunch more of top of that for each weapon, of which there are nice a varied amount of. They share a whole bunch of mechanics which is really fucking obvious and not surprising considering they are made by the same group of people.
