I ended up loving this game after I flat-out ignored the memes and bought it anyway on a hunch. I'm really glad I did, because it's now one of my favorite Star Fox titles next to the original and 64. Goes without saying that it's better than Adventures, better than Command, and yes, better than Assault.
And /v/'s hatred of this game means next to nothing. You have to remember that these people listen to retards like Yahtzee and Jimquisition and actually believe that games like Platinum's "character action" titles are masterpieces.

Pretty fucking good. The biggest problem with the Landmaster has always been the coupled aiming with movement. It sort of made sense on the Arwing but it was fucking shit everywhere else.
Decoupling aiming into it's own fast as fuck, mouse-like independent input makes every single vehicle in this game pure bliss to play ass, even the shit-ass Gyrowing.
