Sprint gave this serious a much needed boost in speed. Sprint also added in more tactical movements that compliment Halo's arena style of gameplay.

Halo Reach multiplayer still has the highest online players count than Halo 3 and 4 (Halo 5 hides it's online players numbers). Halo Reach multiplayer is the best.
Reticle bloom makes shooting more difficult: if you can land 5 precise shoots in a row bloom will not affect spread of your bullets on general engagement distance, if you missed just one - you deserve to be punished with delayed shot or spread if you choose to spam. It's a balancing mechanic for DMR's high aim-assist.
Jetpack, Armour Lock, Sprint, Invisibility create so much more depth to the multiplayer: they solve so many problems and create multiple new ones: team shooting everyone and hiding when your ass gets shot is not the only one supreme tactic now. Everything still can be countered in Reach, you just need to expect more and be so much better. Halo 2/3 crybabies just can't take this. That's why they hate Reach. But numbers speak against their toxic opinion.
Because Halo Reach is still Halo. But it's the only Halo game where team shot is not the only supreme tactic. It takes much more team skill. That's why they are so goddamn salty.

Firefight in Reach is still the best "horde" mode in all gaming. I mean limited on heroic of course. The enemy AI in Reach is unparalleled, Elites are so fucking smart and tactical they still surprise me to this day. Reach AI really wants to kill the player, not just trying to act cinematic.

I liked the controls had more weight and were less floaty than the previous games.

It's not like they gave a crap about what the book said, just make a super special team of badass 2s that didn't partake in the generator defense or Chief's space mission.
