Well we know 3 things about the NX thanks to SuperMetalDave64, those are.
1.The NX's specs are much closer to the PSNeo then the PS4 but it's not Scorpio levels.
2.The NX's stander controller will be a normal controller.
3.Devs like CD Project Red and other AAA 3rd Parties are excited about it unlike the Wii U.
I leaked some details yesterday, actually.
The general idea is that it was a 'New' Wii U with a game pad that you can take around with you. Note that this isn't the 'gimmick.' The gimmick is the fact that the gamepad and console are always connected, no matter where you go.
This means that you can stream content to your gamepad from home through the console and your internet connection. This makes playing online games on the go very practical.There are people in Japan playtesting Splatoon for this right now
This also means that the Wii U will continue to be supported, as it's exceedingly simple to port games from Wii U to NX.

It will be a Tegra Parker run controller/handheld that can stream or run games at 900p, upscaled to 1080p to a TV OR through the NX home console which is essentially based on a custom 1070 and the same Tegra Parker chip. Streaming between handheld and console is done using the same tech built on in the Wii U Gamepad. Nvidia is going for broke to get back in and is losing money on the deal they gave Nintendo to use their chips. So I estimate the handheld to be $250 and the console to press $450.

As a third party dev (wont say what company I work for or what I'm working on, I don't like NDA leaks) and a longtime Nintendo fan, the NX is definitely going to interest hardcore Nintendo fans who care about quality first party games.
However, it will be a huge pain in the ass as a third party developer to justify making NX games. It will be using the same PowerPC instruction set as Wii U, Wii, and GameCube to keep full backwards compatibility support as Nintendo is know for. While this is a good thing as a consumer, it absolutely fucks over third party developers who wish to port games from PS4, Xbox One, or PC to NX. PowerPC requires a lot more effort to effectively port games to x86 platforms, I'm pretty sure you guys seen how much effort went into GameCube and Wii emulation as it took over a decade to get them where they are today and that's with a bunch of documentation and help from the open source community. In addition to requiring more effort to port, there's hardly any incentive to create third party exclusives or port third party games to NX when data from the last few generations have proven that third party games sell worse on Nintendo's platforms than on Sony or Microsoft's platforms. There's a few exceptions here and there but the majority of people mainly buy a Nintendo console to play first party Nintendo exclusives.
If you liked Wii U, you will like NX. If you were expecting something totally different, guess again.
