Main problem of CM3D2 is that the grinding in the game isn't interesting. In AA2 you do a lot of things before you get to the fucking and good parts (granted that you aren't playing with sluts). It has a buildup and many things can happen before that. But in CM there is nothing, you start the game, make your girl and then deflore her. Everything else is just the same actions again as you unlock more options. At that point you already came.
Meanwhile the first time having sex in AA2 can be hours after starting the game, and when it happens it will feel amazing because of all the buildup. Continuous sessions also unlock extra stuff, and they offer interesting dialogues and consequences depending on which of the many personalities you are playing with and depending on where you do it.
It's just a better game.

Started playing AA2 again a few days ago. Still so great. Being able to download all the premade waifus you want and then having a harem... it's the dream.

I am well aware of AA2's modding output. It pales in comparison to CM3D2's. AA2 has been out for 2 years while CM3D2 has been out for one, and the latter has triple the mods that AA2 has.
The thing is, AA2 may provide you a somewhat more entertaining experience in terms of gameplay for the first 20-30 hours or so (and that's being generous), but it nevertheless becomes an incredibly boring experience, even with all the RNG involved. The interactions are so limited and you can't really do anything 'fun' other than watch NPCs, and I can safely say that you've seen more than enough of their interactions after 10 hours of gameplay or so. Occasionally you get a buzz from seeing one rare line or something. That's about it.
Once you're done with the """""gameplay""""" aspects of AA2 all you simply have left is the end-game of taking screenshots ad naseum and playing around with the limited set of expressions and clothes that you have. For this kind of thing CM3D2 blows it so far out of the water that it isn't even funny.
