Strange you should say that because I played all the way through Bioshock 1 but I could barely make it through an hour of 2
>>
>>342091683
I don't know why that would be the case, I thought 1 was okay but I loved 2 so much.

A real shame what happned to Infinite.
Watching those early demos and trailers and comapring them to the final product, I couldn't imagine how a game can be ruined this much.

Fuck Levine.
>>
Meming aside, I actually think there's a fair amount of thought that can be put into the Souls and Bloodborne's story. For example, once you become ayy lmao, the modified Kos Parasite move set is really slow and tentacle based. I might be slow with the connection, but I thought it was awesome how it mimicked the moves set of the byrgenwerth scholars on the lecture hall because they've made contact. The subtlety of it makes it all the more interesting.

Bioshock 2 had some of the best 'moral choices' in a game I've seen to date. Pretty interesting scenarios that really make the player think.

It really expanded Rapture into something even more interesting than Bioshock 1.

Shame about Infinite, though. One step forward and three steps back.

What moral choices? All I remember is whether or not you kill the three boss people.

>Can't wait to give her the big D(rill)
>Finally get to her door
>She says she's ready and just lets you in, waiting
>Just an old woman, standing there
>Sinclair reminds you she's unarmed
>feel bad
>Take the key and leave
>She radios in afterwards
>"You had me under a gun... and yet you just walk away? No monster alive turns the other cheek. No monster does that. A thinking man does that."

Maybe I'm easily impressed, but that part was so unexpectedly moving it made me choke up.

You have to decide if you want to kill the old lady who murderously hates you, but you know was misled and acts as an overall force for good in the shithole that is what remains of Rapture. You essentially have to decide if you're willing to make your own life predictably more difficult at the expense of keeping a generally good person in power. Self sacrifice, basically.

The second is if you're willing to forgive a person who did something unbelievably heinous. Or, alternatively, if you're pragmatic enough not to care about what this terribly suspicious and untrustworthy person did.

Finally, you have to choose whether or not to respect the last wishes of a person before they underwent a horrific, transformative experiment that rendered them basically a different person. The person before begs you to kill them, the person after begs you not to. Who's wishes do you respect?

Of the three choices, there's really no 'correct' answers. You're either an idealist or a pragmatist working with limited information. The depth of the scenarios is refreshing compared to the 'give this starving family 500 credits or rob them and kill their puppy' level of "moral choices" you see in games that tout depth of moral choice.

because the game had so much environment interaction?
>>
>>342095856
I heard it was going to be an inventory tutorial.
>>
>>342096028
Wouldn't surprise me if there was more interaction at some point. The game seems to be a mess cobbled together.

Perfect example is the pop-up telling you to be careful around civilians. Then, nothing ever comes off it. Looking at older trailers, civilian interaction was a major thing in older versions of the game.

Infinite is an insult.
"Illusion of Choice" the game
>>
>>342091746
its called back to back syndrome. You probably didn't give 2 a chance because in your mind you felt like you were replaying 1 because you played them so close together.
>>
>>342099159
>"Illusion of Choice" the game
But that's the fucking point.
>>
>>342099909
And claptrap is meant to be annoying in Borderlands. It doesn't make it any less bad by it being intentional.
>>
>>342099909
>that's the point
>being a lazy, unoriginal writer is the point

Then take your game and shove it, Ken.
