I'd say start with ALTTP and OOT honestly then go for more 2D or more 3D based on your preference.
Playing starting from ALTTP and going in release order (then playing 1 and 2 whenever you want) seems like the best way to do it honestly.
Zelda 1 and 2 are not too difficult or cryptic but they're also not babbies first Zelda
Zelda II, Link Between Worlds, and Majora's Mask are the only good zelda games.

ALBW is a nice game with a good OST that at least tried some new things but the rental and magic systems are busted and the comforting feeling of returning to ALTTPs world will be diluted by playing it immediately. Having ALTTP fresh in your mind will probably cause you to constantly compare it to ALBW which is not a point in ALBW's favor considering its dungeons are short, linear, and easy.
Zelda is fucking easy to make suggestions for. Go in release order. siding with 2d or 3d on your preference.
Playing Oracles before LA is counterintuitive as is skipping around the 3D titles.

Because if you're aiming for overall enjoyment of the series why would you want to take steps back as you progress
LA is shorter to Oracles but plays the same way, if you play LA and like it its easier to suggest Oracles rather than going "here play this massive linked quest and if you liked it here's a shorter game that's worse"

Prime 1 does not translate well to motion controls and has a few areas that are just a pain to get through because of it. The morph ball jump also makes the ball segments too easy.
Prime 2 was heavily nerfed on the Trilogy collection.
Prime 4l3 is censored on Trilogy.
