I actually always keep an eye on where my bombs go. Most of the time I'll just recatch it with an aerial like Nair to keep up pressure and space. When someone catches a bomb and try to throw it at me offstage, I usually end up instant throwing it back or regrabbing it to help for recovery. The timing isn't strict since it falls at a relatively slow rate compared to other projectiles like the Megaman's metalblade.
Regrabbing bombs is vital to Toon Link's meta. It's been like that since Brawl.
