I've been meaning to play the MGS series for a long while now. Is there somewhere I can pick up the series (bundle or not) for less than stupid prices?
Right now I'm just waiting for a Steam sale to grab them at a discount.

2 and 3 can be played on a PS2, PS3, or a 360
4 is only on PS3

1 is on PSN
2 and 3 HD are on PSN (Play the HD versions with updated camera)

I don't know about 1, the PC version is sharper and runs smoother but the Mantis fight is butchered and you lose the whole change disc part
Also some dialogues were written with PS1 in mind so Campbell could say press circle and the text would say press action button
If you have a powerful enough PC emulate 2 or even play it on a PS2 or PS3 because the PC version is very light but it was a shit port so, even if you manage to make it run, you still have to face the button configuration and some bugs like problems with the right analog stick that will detect it being held on the upper left corner and that's very tedious to fix
Emulate 3 or simply play the PS3 version
Go wih the PS3/360 port of peace walker so you can benefit double analog and 60 frames
MGR is on steam
GZ and TPP are on steam but I wouldn't buy GZ if I were you because it has very little content and you can unlock a camo and a skin in TPP which you're never going to use anyway because they don't blend in with any environment in the game
I really suggest playing MG1 and MG2 on the official translation in MGS3 PS3 or MGS3 Subsistence
MG1 is a bit hard but MG2 is fantastic
