Anyone actually mad that this is exclusive?
>>
>>342016606
nope I am mad insomniac thinks this design is good and that their story won't be shit. I bet the gameplay will be nice though
>>
>>342016606
A little, god damn, the game looks gorgeous
>>
I'm more mad I have to play it on my ps4 than anything, so yes

I fucking hate playing video games on a big screen
>>
I don't care how it looks, as long as I can piledrive someone off of the top of the Empire State building I'll get it.
>>
If it's more like Spider Man 2, then I will be a bit jealous.
>>
No, I don't expect any sort of quality from a modern spiderman game, just been burned too many times.
>>
no because i have a ps4

i understand your pain though, fuck bayo2

Mad? no. However I think exclusivity in general is shit. The only thing that really annoys me so far is his costume, it's a bad design no matter how you look at it but this is Spider-Man so alt's will make up for that.

Yes. Spiderman 2 was always an Xbox game. It was shit on ps2
>>

No. The Sony Spiderman movies where ASS and I hope this game burns in hell.
>>

>>
>>342020254
Not him, but I'm pretty pissed myself that Sony ruined Spiderman, Sony films are fucking trash.
>>
I'd be more mad if this whole new "big plans" for an expansive set of Marvel games is Sony only.

I don't really care because I haven't seen gameplay yet, but isn't that a bad business decision for marvel?
>>
I don't like Spiderman so I'm not really upset with this decision
>>
>>342020798

How come?
>>
The more great PS4 exclusives, the more I suck my own dick for getting a new one for $175 during the Target fiasco.

Especially hopeful for Spidey.
>>
>>342021737

Exclusives make the industry better. Nowadays, everything is watered down. The competition is terrible too.

A majority of the people who hate exclusives don't want to buy more than one console and enjoy terrible ports and cross console development that usually ends messy.
>>
Not at all, because I own a PS4 like any real gamer should
>>
>>342022120
I don't mind exclusives at all. Unless you only have a minimum wage job AND are an idiot who spends retarded amounts of money on cigarettes or drugs or alcohol and/or were dumb enough to have a kid when you can't afford it, it's not hard to own every console.

The only people I know in my personal life who stress out about affording consoles are the type I described, or they have some other expensive hobby like they buy lots of musical equipment.

tldr exclusives aren't a problem except to the fiscally retarded
>>
No because I own a PS4 and I'm glad people who bought garbage like the Xbone are being punished for their poor choices.
>>
Does anyone have the spiderman games webswing infrograph?
It also had settings for spiderman 2 ps2 emulation
>>
>>342022778

I'd like to see this too please.

Idort here, fuck no.

Making it exclusive means it has a good chance of proper focus and no actual release date or movie tie-in date means they can release something worth a damn.

This is hype as fuck to me.
>>

I'll enjoy the tears.
>>

>>
>>342016606
the white bits on the costume are fucking stupid. other than that it looks pretty good and I'm looking forward to it.
>>
>>342016606
I'm only mad about the costume, which looks fucking ugly this time around. Not sure why they feel the need to reinvent it every single recent adaptation.

Hopefully we'll get loads of suits to pick from, or maybe even customize our own. Otherwise I don't care if it's exclusive. Might even motivate me getting a PS4 eventually, given it's good and more games are on the system by then.
>>

>>
No, because no sensible or remotely intelligent adult bought an Xbone and nobody would play a Spiderman on PC anyway except for maybe the first one which won't get touched ever again.

>>342024564
That's fine, but I personally find it to look too much like the suit they did in the Webb films. Except now with glaring plastic-y white covering half of it.

They're just trying too hard with it. Keep it simple and aesthetic, like always. No need to make it look faux futuristic.
>>
>>342016606
No because I can just buy a PS4 if it's good since I'm not a poorfag.
>>
I'm way too hyped for this game. When did they start development? I can't even find a fucking release window anywhere.
>>
I'm not sure why people are so divided on the costume. It looks like a new take on a Spidey costume. Almost every form of media does this when it comes to his costume. Plus the chances of alternative costumes is probably 100% anyway.

I'm happy this is a thing. I just want a competent non Activision developer to make a spider man game. I own all the consoles so that's not an issue.
>>

I've never played a single good superhero game so I can't understand how anyone cares. The only Spider-Man game I played was absolute garbage in particular.

Never has there actually been a perfect adaptation of it, which is a shame, as the darker blue used is really nice.

I think it's adorable they're crying about exclusives when Microsoft does it every chance they get. Dead Rising? Ryse (not a big loss)? Tomb Raider? Sunset Overdrive (not a big loss)? Halo? Gears? The only Microsoft creation was Forza.

>>
>>342035051
You go fast while swinging, as soon as you jump you slow down a shitload
>>
>>342034826
And the spider also happened to give him powers akin to those of a spider, like you know, the whole crawling thing for instance. It's not too hard to do the math.

Spiders are also naturally attracted to him as if he were one of their own, which is shown a billion times in the comics.

Alright I'll say it again. The wallcrawling is because he generates a magnetic field, and I would like evidence of this natural spider attraction because last time I checked, that was Kaine's thing.

The Spider part of his identity was a persona developed to get quick cash. Stop commenting on shit you know nothing about /tv/

Spiders are extremely sensitive to things like taste and smell. They didn't just give him that power by pulling it out of thin air.
>>
>>342035812

>Get quick cash
>Based off of his powers

That's the part you keep forgetting to mention.
>>
>>342036590
And the part you keep ignoring is he couldn't go onto the show as just a man throwing powers about, he needed a secret identity, a hook, and he used the spider that bit him as a base. How is this concept so far beyond you? it's not like its uncommon.
>>
>>342035812

And why did he then end up with 8 limbs total? Because the serum enhanced his spider infested DNA. It's not a hard concept to grasp, seriously. Spider-Man IS a human spider. I'm starting to wonder if YOU read the comics, or if you're just pulling shit out your ass for the fuck of it.

Is PC-only an acceptable option if the two or three worthwhile console exclusives don't interest me enough to spend $400? I mean, if there were a shitload of exclusives, I'd buy a console. But I'm not dying to play Uncharted or Bloodborne or Spiderman specifically, so I think one platform is enough.

It's only a real problem when you get so mad about another platform's exclusives that you start console war threads on /v/ to convince yourself that you made the right purchase.

I disagree. It looked more like QTEs and Cutscenes smashed together in game engine. And even "In game engine" is an assumption since most videos on E3 are bullshit and reflect nothing about the final product. The only one that had the balls to show gameplay flawed and all was Dishonored 2. You could see the animations, the blood, the clipping just like if you were playing the actual game. I always distrust when they try to sell you something perfect.

Would it even be worth it to take the spider off? If that's gone, then it's just a shifted version of the original suit, and we've already seen that many times with Raimi's to ASM, not to mention the cartoons. This is the first real addition to the costume to attract new attention, while still trying to remain classic. It's a cool way to put the costume idea out there though, since anyone who cares enough can just use alt costumes.

>>
>>342042576

People tend to exaggerate the whole "proportional strength" thing. Spiders and some insects are indeed stronger than their appearances would lead one to believe, but that doesn't mean they're actually radically strong. Ants, for example are quite capable of doing great feats, but that's when you apply a lot of them and their almost machine like organizational capabilities as they work together. A single ant is never going to move a dead elephant all by its lonesome. Just as a spider isn't going to gradually pry apart a small hole in the wall to widen it.

>>
>>342042156
I don't think you got his meaning, he wasn't implying Spidey is canonically weak and that sometimes he seems strong.

Even with Spidey being actually super strong for a street level superhero, he has done things that his Super Strenght of 10T pressure couldn't have done it, like supporting an entire crumbling building on his arms, or lifting a whole train like a piece of paper; that looks awesome but it is more than he should be able handle.

At other times writers simply makes Spidey too weak, especially writers that hate mainstream heroes like Garth Ennis, he had Spidey get his ass royally kicked by The Russian.
