Holy shit what the hell nintendo, I was not expecting this from a pokemon game, I had no expectations and I didnt even know what the story was about but I'm really surprised in the most positive way.
I really felt attached to my partner and I think its development was done nicely, the story was light hearted and silly sometimes but could also be serious when it wanted, it had great plot twists, amazing OST and a pretty comfy atmosphere and the difficulty wasnt bad either, I also think the emeras were a cool addiction.
Was this GOTY 2015? I think it was.
worst PMD plot, overtly streamlined, but it's harder so the streamlining is okay even though it kills a ton of the replay value the past games had as well as any multiple approaches you may have challenging dungeons
I still enjoyed it though

I dont think I've ever finished blue rescue team and I played explorers of sky when it came out so I dont remember much of the plots at all, but I really liked this game's plot with Dark Matter and all the other stuff, there was some cliches but still pretty enjoyable imo.
I might look for my ds games and play the other two games now.

OP here, Chapter 10, you're almost there, I played the game until that part and I had days/week of space between each game session, as soon as I got out of the village I finished the game in 3 days pretty much non stop.
The slow beginning kinda bummed me but the rest is really worth it imo, and the post game has lot of stuff if you care for that.

It's the only PMD I've played to completion, but it's now one of my favorite games of all time. Maybe I'd be blown away even further if I played the others in the series that are apparently better.

okay good. this slow start shit was really starting to get my nerves. I tried to fight Salamence for Axew's request then my lone fairy bailed on me and I failed miserably. Upon restart a Victini showed up to connect with then he ended up carrying the team to victory.

PSMD was pretty good, I personally perfer Sky, but I think that's only because it has sprites over models. Super is pretty good, it takes a solid 2nd place.

I've found Mew now, but I already know whats going to happen, when the game said '' THE END'' I thought it WAS the end and I got spoiled about the ''true ending'' of the epilogue.
I'm finishing the epilogue now but that scene and sad nonetheless.

If you can pirate Gates or get it for dirt cheap give it a spin if you want, the story is fine. It's just really easy, has little enemy variety due to a less than 150 Pokemon roster, and like zero reason to keep playing beyond the credits besides a very small epilogue.
It's definitely the worst of the four as a game, though.

SPMD was great, but I still felt it was a little lacking compared to sky for reasons I don't understand.
Although it might be that there is just something wrong with me, I replay sky like 3 or 4 times a year.The ending is still sad as shit every time

Starters are Turtwig and Shinx, but i use none of them after the story ended. I made it stay fresh by recruiting one of everything, andwriting guides for the game, like how to properly tackle level 1 dungeons and what pokemon to use.

I had fun playing it and I thought the story was decent, but the post-game was absolute rushed trash. I expected it to be a lot more of a journey and a struggle toget back your partnerbut it was over so quick that I hardly felt anything. I think that part may have actually ruined the rest of the game for me. There were also so many continents that we haven't even gotten to that I feel should have been in the main story, to make it feel more like an adventure. I don't know. I hardly played the game after that and I probably would have played more if I felt there was a point, like if the 'multiplayer' was more expansive. This is my first mystery dungeon game and I wasn't very impressed, but I don't know if getting into the others are worth it.

Depends. Around the 10th floor or so of Zero Isle South you get a good feel for if the pokemon's going to be good or not. I try to go as far as i can with each. Drifblim/Smoochum/Numel are the best choices. Female is best too, because females get a slight evasion boost.
