I disagree, I don't really care about graphix generally as long as visual design makes up for it.
All I've seen from this game looks flat and empty. And not in a classy minimalistic way either. I don't get why everything looks blurry and muted. Makes sense for a desert aesthetic but the plains should look more verdant.
The pop-in looks ridiculous too but hopefully they'll improve that before release.
Indie games manage to look better than that with less budget. Using Cell Shading can only do so much to hide how primitive everything is. If they wanted to go that way they should have gone full cartoony like Wind Waker, not this weird in-between.

Let's be objective: zelda is the most popular brand bar none out of any game that was shown at e3. It's huge with autists, children, and the tumblrverse. It also looked pretty good. Nintendo simply not totally fucking it up guranteed it'd be the most popular game at e3.
Besides zelda nintendo literally has nothing aaa coming out for the next 2 years at least. Anybody who bought a wii u is not getting aaa games, no new announcements, just a single game. Sony has last guardian, horizon, personal 5, nier that we know at least are gameplay focused coming out in the next 9 months. That zombie motorcycle game and god of war are cinematic games, but many people enjoy those. There are quite a few others coming out in the next year as well. Sony is releasing a consistent stream of aaa games for people who own the console. Games that appeal to a variety of players with different genres.

I look at this game and it doesnt look like a Zelda game anymore. It just looks like another boring generic open world game. All I really want out of the NX version is for it to run at 1080p at a stable framerate.
Not actually sure that'll happen, though--there are rumors that it'll be identical to the Wii U version right down to the graphics. They might not include resolution/framerate in that, though.

The fact that, out of at least four videos of gameplay, we have seen virtually zero variance in terms of mechanics. If the enemy is little, just shoot them with your regular arrows and sometimes the kinda explosive arrows until they blow up. If the enemy is large, shoot them with hookshots to force them into the ground after shooting them with a dozen arrows and eventually they reveal their "weak point". Shoot that, and they then explode. I like how they showed off the controllable mount, but I have to wonder how many things you can "tame" in that manner, and if the answer is "Only a few, absolutely harmless examples of that machine-mule species", it shows why they would only show off gameplay in brief, quickly-ended spurts.
Not to mention I don't see the point of an "Open" world if everything is clearly a setpiece. The fact that our main character mentions every little thing she sees as soon as she sees it will either give me Dragon's Dogma vibes (WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS ARISEN!) or it means that the world is "open" with purely linear progression, which is honestly not very open to begin with.
And the aesthetic is just ugly. Cavemen aren't interesting on their own, and mechanical bows don't make them look any better. The robots look cool, but they are the only example of what looks good in this game. The weapons look bad, the characters look bad, and the locales don't look interesting, just photorealistic and shiny.
