Hardline is weird. It wasn't a surprise to see it moving to the past or future but just dropping the whole war thing and have cops and robbers wasn't expected. It baffles me what the development pitch was.
I like the single player though. It felt like a ridiculously over the top tv cop drama. But that's not why people buy these games.
4. I hated the Hardline beta, but I don't know how good it is now. 4 is like what 3 is now but with better netcode which isn't saying much.
I kind of think the idea of a Battlefield game with cops and robbers is cool instead of just war settings

Battlefield is a military themed shooter but, honestly even Star Wars battlefront seem to stick to that concert closer.
It would be like if dead or alive wasn't going to be a fighting game but instead about beach volleyball.

It really should have just been an expansion for 4, it would have definitely helped keep it alive. My friends and I had fun in Hardline's beta but we all knew this exact situation would happen. None of us ended up buying it.
