There is nothing that looks interesting to me gameplay wise. It looks nice as do all their games but nothing they showcased seem to imply I'd have any fun with it. Games tend to leave out the mechanics that should make bows fun such as stamina, arrow arc, and interactive projectiles. They usually come out as slower guns whereas a bow enthusiasts get to enjoy the feeling of launching something with your strength while making lots of calculations for accuracy. It's making up for it with all the little gadgets and tools but that doesn't really appeal to me on a personal level.

Anon, that's not the screenshots I'd use to prove the "Technical prowess" of UC4. Or any of them. Technically impressive is not a word I'd use for UC4 on a hardware use level. Technically impressive they were able to use their cinemetographer to take focal points away from how much they pruned out of the game like the agressive culling, lower than 1080P shadow mapping (Hitting around 792P) and focus on the art style. But every time you are just going to be told that UC4 is not very technically impressive.

You miss him read anon, the enemies can all be beaten in many different ways, there's actual variety. Somethings are super effect, other things will have not as much of an effect, you chose which ever suits the situation.
All of this in addition to multiple weak points, the focus scan shit will light them up, some weak points will kill the robots, others will just disarm them so you can loot, kind of like lethal vs non-lethal.
It's just those extra layers to every enemt encounter that most 3rd person hack/shoot games lack.
And this is why i'm most to play and explore in this game. the combat looks genuinely fun and interesting and deep, compared to the competition.
Oh, and you can control each robot type and they all do something unique, some to mount, some to fight etc.

I'm hoping to god that this game has some crafting that isn't just the usual "level up crafting or get the more rare materials from the harder/later game enemies to progress items in a linear fashion" and instead have some +/- situational use to them. Especially since they are discovered by an automated, witcher-senses like scanning and exploiting them consist in selecting a certain arrow type. Not only that, but the elemental weakness seems to consist only in a particle effect that have a weakpoint popping up, a bit better than straightforward 2* damage multiplier but something that seems like it will be reused very much. Also robot burning on the surface due to fire arrows looked pretty dumb. Why not have arrows with an electric resistance on the pointy end, and have the robot glow red hot? There seems to be a worrying lack of thought in this game

Not only that, but since you are in a shooter and there are no melee options, all the weakpoints are available readily to you, so it's easy to always go for the most damaging and straightforward.

last years they showed 2 versions of the same demo all end up the same way and similar to this one too. They killed the trxe by one arrow to the glowing core that shows behind the rocket launchers after pinned down.
the pinning down is also repeated this year where the robot shows the part that pretty much killed him after it got pinned down.
until we see actual gameplay and not scripted traiers we will find out if theres really some meaningful combat here against enemies.

The first says that a tie goes to the batter, the second says that the tie goes to the defense if the runner had to move because of the batter becoming a runner. The batter himself, despite being a runner, is not "forced to advance" by his own becoming a runner, only the runners already in front of him are since they can't share a base.
