Geoff Keighley has always been seen as a corporate puppet type of person, since he's always at press events shilling whatever he was told to. No the thing is that he was originally considered a very respected person in the industry and so that's why it was such a shock, and considered a sign of the decay of integrity in the industry, when he started doing shit like that. Nobody would have given a shit if it was just some random corporate shill sitting out there with the dead eyes and the doritos, but it was fucking Geoff Keighley.
