Pros:
>is literally the closest creation game to just making a game
>is one of the comfiest games iv'e ever played
>has a nearly infinite amount of online level playability
>Spent hundreds of hours with friends ironically playing meme levels made by other channers

Cons:
>is an exclusive
>can't be channeled onto pc where it would be far more successful
>fanbase is autists
>you play as a gay person playing as a potato sack
>sony has it by the balls

-/10 ?
>>
>Calling fanbasde autists
>Name is Steve
>>
1 was good and original, I still believe its an entirely new genre

2 was not good, its creation tools were better but not better enough to have reason for a second game other than to remain relevant

3 is the best with the ability to make your own tools but it really could use patching

tl;dr: RIGHT NOW it exists in a parallel universe where its an early access game on the pc that gets patched and updated and modded every minute
>>
Cons:
>it's shit
>>
>>341886578

The biggest problem I've had with Little Big Planet is that the character doesn't feel good to platform with. I don't know how to describe it. Floaty? Squishy? Mushy? It kinda kills the series for me.
>>
>>341887506
This, still it's an actual level editor (with a full singleplayer campaign to boot).

There's effort put into it. And that just makes me more sad about people eating up Mario Maker.

Though LBP3 was a cashgrab.
>>
>>341886578
Pros:
It is Incredibly charming, and joyful
You can play any of the games for weeks without getting tired of it.
Community levels can be really great
Fun Multiplayer

Cons:
I am not 8 years old, and I cannot spend that much time on a videogame where the first 20 hours are a tutorial.
Half of the community levels are awful, the other half are videogame inspired recreations, music levels, EDGY comedy, Reddit references, and actually good levels.
It really distresses me to play a game where everyone online is 15 or younger.

I'd buy my kids a Ps4 with the next game, Mm and Sumo really do know how to create fun family games. It is good to see they still exists in an evironment where everything seems to be aimed to man children.
>>
>>341887506
This, thanks guy.
The physics were fucking weird? If it had taken the physics from limbo or some heavier platform then I would have loved the feel, but I didn't like how feathery everything felt.

Tbh, shouldhavebeenonpc/10
>>
The story is better than your dad reading you a bed time story while cocoa is being made for you with not too many marshmellows in it.

Comfygame/10, I will cut myself for it to release to pc.
>>
>>341886578

>cons

media molecule were utter fucking cunts and deliberately didn't integrate mouse and keyboard support for level creation even though they specifically said that they would with LBP2, which would've infinitely aided the creation process and provided more longevity for the games

If Mm released this on pc, it would have been more popular than fucking gmod. Why on ps3? Can they ever recover?

>>
>>341888430
gmod is not and would never be as good as lbp
it would catch up on the autist mlp memes pretty fast
>>
>>341888307
Wasn't LBP intended as a first party PlayStation ip?

did anyone here ever sit through a really shittily made lbp community movie just to laugh at how bad it was?

it could have ported, man.

Same.

Add Banjo Kazzoie Nuts and Bolts to that list. I enjoyed the hell out of LBP and Nuts and Bolts.

I was legit disappointed when I leanr Gaylo 5 was more likely to come to PC than Rare Replay.

Then again there is literally nothing wrong with Halo 5 custom games:

By the way am I the only person who enjoyed LBP Kart Racing?
>>
>>341888534
How is Gmod not bigger than LBP? it even inspired a subculture of videos made with it.
>>
>>341888712
>Implying I said bigger
>>
>all these pcucks who want it on PC
This is why exclusives are needed.
>>
>>341888534
It can do far more than lbp
>>
>>341888923
Can't they just wait for a proper emulator? i heard there's a PSP emulator and saw LBP being played on it.
>>
>>341888923
Why? I have a ps4 as well
>>
>>341889030
Of course.
The PSP emulator also supports online play, so there's no reason why this ever needs to go on PC.
>>
I tried to like it.

It's simply too cutesy for me.

>Play ps3 for years, LBP was one of my favorites

>PS3 reading diode goes off, apprently a problem with fat models
>Ps3 many security issues force me to change passwords several times
>I do not remember my PS account
>I cannot find the piece to repair it myself, except in alibaba (Order 500 goys)
>Guarantee expired years ago and I have to buy a new one

Does anyone know where I could buy a new PS3 blu-ray drive, or should I just give up an buy another one? Most of my games are in discs anyhow, I would only lose Demon's Souls at the very worst and Muhvel that is like a $15 game now, and I could buy muhvel any other time.
>>
>>341889030
when would this happen? The only decent ps3 emulator does like 3 games.
>>
>>341889908
I dont know, monhts, years, decades? and im waiting for someone fo make SFM porn of Gravity Rush.
>>
>>341888550
Nah, Sony bought it/MM after development began.

>"You know, I think the best thing shown by Phil Harrison was LittleBigPlanet. The group doing that game is fantastic, and I say that having seen the rag doll little product that they had created. ... That product, I think, is quite intriguing. I'm not sure how well it will do on the Sony platform, quite frankly, but I think that the product they showed was outstanding."
>"Frankly, Nintendo wanted to do some business with those folks, but to give Phil some credit, he got there first."
-Reggie
>>
>>341890258
So, LBP was originally a Nintendo game?
>>
>>341890509
No. It could have been but Sony got to it first

I saw a model from a golf game on DA with a link but not sure if the model even works.

1 was amazing, super comfy and nice community. lots of fun creating levels

2 was alright, didnt like how they ditched physical mechanics for digital.

havent played 3.

played the vita game, it was pretty meh

1 had best story mode, creative mode was good

2 had a decent story, eve's asylum had top tier music, creative mode was great. i hate how they ditched the character design from 1 and replaced them with sackbots though

3 had shit tier story, but creative mode is off the charts with everything you can do
>>
>>341892020
i actually loved bomb and shark survivals.

Here's my profile. I have't play this shit since I was 12. Never played the 2nd and the 3rd one either.
>>
It amazes me how much people think Mario Maker is revolutionary when LBP is objectively better by all stretches.
>>
>>341889882
Post 3.55 PS3s can't have their drive replaced I think, it might be best to get a new one
>>
>>341892942
MM feels useless when romhacks and Lunar Magic 3000 exist
>>
>>341892416
They twitch stream different aspects of it pretty much every friday. It's looking great, but it badly needs marketing on Sony's part to let people know the game exists, and what it actually is
>>
>>341893246
I haven't been paying attention closely but I have no idea what it is.

Level i made when i was 15
>>
>>341886578
Cons:
>is an exclusive

main issue with it, it's a pain to try precise item management with the controller.
also the amount of content in one level is pretty limited, but I'd put that in a pro: it forces you to learn tricks to save space, which is a good thing

>>341893489

>>
>>341887506
This complements the core game mechanics of pushing/grabbing/swinging, though. It's a physics-based platformer.

Sackboy doesn't move as fast as Mario or Sonic, anyway, so it usually doesn't get in the way.
