Season two was bad in that the curtain hiding that choice was an illusion wasn't fully closed. And it kind of started falling apart during the latter chapters.
In the first game I felt like my choices mattered, in S2 even if you saved someone they either died 2 minutes latter anyway, or became a background character for a while and then died.
