Deus Ex Mankind Divided.
The ending of Human Revolution was really goddamn sloppy, the whole ending sequence felt hollow and empty and the whole "choose an ending" console was terrible, but overall I had a blast with the game.
I'm looking forward to playing as Adam Jensen again, exploring and being a badass.

Well obviously I'm overstating. In reality I can't know about every living philosopher, so I can't know if Sca-ji is the greatest one.
But his two major works, 素晴らしき日々 and サクラノ詩, are both amazing and midblowing. Play them, in this order, but only once you actually get good at Japanese. And I mean really good, being able to read it without looking up stuff. So few years into studying.
Other eroge writer hyped up is Tanaka Romeo, well, "eroge writer", his last eroge is like a decade old. He's really good too. Recently he released some standalone novels (犬と魔法のファンタジー and 灼熱の小早川さん), which are admittedly banal in their plots and very-rooted in Japanese reality, i.e. characters have problems and worries you're not likely to have and can fully sympathize with cause you don't live in Japan, but they showcase Romeo's delicious writing very well. For the best effect, read some random popular light novel first, then read Romeo and compare. And when you get good at Japanese, read CrossChannel, Saihate no Ima his other eroge.
If you want a recommendation for an easier eroge to start with, consider 大図書館の羊飼い by August. The characters are super likeable and have great chemistry together. If you're into this "banter" thing, it's easy to enjoy the game. As a bonus, playing it will likely make you an August fan and you'll be able to enjoy their other stuff.

There are a lot of games I'm looking forward to playing, but the big one is definitely Dishonored 2. The first Dishonored is my favorite game of the last generation and an excellent successor to the older games I enjoyed like the first Deus Ex, Thief, System Shock 1 & 2, etc.
The gameplay looks great, the artstyle is cool, the world building from the first game makes me excited to play in Serkonos, I am just really pumped to play that damn game. I predict at least 100 hours wasted on that.

Seriously though, I'm tentatively excited. I really like the Mass Effect games/universe but EA is almost guaranteed to make it terrible somehow. Also, they seem to be abandoning all the lore for the first game in this one by sending the characters/players off into a seperate galaxy away from the setting of the original trilogy.
I can understand wanting to get a fresh start after the terrible shit that is 3, but the risks of doing so could also potentially ruin it if they just fucking throw off the story, races, and dilemnas that made the games thrive in the first place.

I was listening to a podcast that mentioned Nioh. Not trying to be a downer, but they were saying their experience with the demo was that there were a few issues. Like apparently animations had very few frames, so unlike darksouls you wouldn't be able to see the windup for an attack, and it would just fly out instantly. Maybe they've fixed some of this since, I'm not sure. Also something about having to time a button press with your stamina gauge constantly in order to survive in combat at all, whereas enemies pretty much had infinite stamina.

Am I the only one not on the For Honor hype train? The game looks like trash to me-the combat is literally retarded rock/paper/scissors bs. For a game hyping up epic battles and then reducing said battles down to nothing more than a, "guess correctly," minigame seems stupid.

After getting to play it and speaking with the guys at E3 I'm pretty stoked for it.
If the "depth" of mount and blade combat can support people for this long I feel confident that Absolver could do a better job. It doesn't feel like a traditional fighting game, at least for how long I got to play. It's more like ...you aren't immediately out to win, you just need to land a hit. I can see people gittin' gud anc raising the skill cieling to insane heights. Also the folks there mentioned you can disarm people who pull out weapons and even steal theirs.
