it's more than that, it's kind of a visceral thing, like when you look at shiny cards and it reminds you of the seaside or lakes in childhood trips shining and being close to wild life made it all seem to elemental and noticing lizards skirting on hot rocks reminded you why charmander made sense, and traveling and seeing all the flora and fauna fading into civilization just gave perfect backdrop for it all.
