STEAM SUMMER SALE JUNE 23
http://www.technobuffalo.com/2016/06/17/steam-summer-sale-start-date-officially-confirmed-by-paypal-seriously/
RIP WALLET RIP BANK ACCOUNT RIP MORTGAGE
I'm gonna see if I can make it through this year using only the $100 I have in my steam wallet from ditching all my tf2 stuff
how big of a fucking sucker you have to be to buy (((PC))) games in the year 2016
>only $24 steambux
I guess I am just using that. then. I don't even know what I want.
>>341834348
>tfw no spending limit
>>341834383
I bet you buy hard copies for your brick
There's no point in getting excited
Nothing will ever recapture the magic of your first steam sale
Anyone knows what's the deal with Paypal and this Trustly shit? I hear they're shady as fuck.
Now I can't even buy shit on gog, steam and humble bundle anymore, there's no way I'm giving Steam my credit card number.
Are they doing that meme thing where everything is the same price throughout the sale and there are no daily deals?
>mfw summer sale starts a day after i leave for a family trip and ill be gone for about a month
>mfw i dont have money anyway so i cant buy from my laptop to play when i get home
>life
>>341834018
>I'm still a NEET with no cash
Looks like another pirate year.
>>341834543
Steam is still secure as shit, I can't see paypal being shady
>>341834636
You deserver it for being a dorkmoon posting fag.
I've bought too much shit to get hyped now
At this point the only thing I'm really waiting for is some kind of final fantasy super bundle

>>341834493
I'm sorry you don't have a face, Anon. Maybe with your limitless spending you can purchase one.
>Exactly a day before my payday
I am ready
>>341834556
>Doing that meme thing
What does that even mean?
They said thats how they're going to do it from now on. They started that last summer and it has been consistent through the holiday sale.
I've got 300 dollars I can spend
I'm scared
>>341834893Gremlin D.Va is my fetish too, Anon.
>>341834018
>steam
Not in a million years.
>rip wallet
But Zelda KH2.8 and Horizon are all free on emulator, or $60 each on console
>>341835003
Yeah getting shitloads of 60 dollar games for 20 measly bucks is not worth it
Most of the games I want were recently released so there probably won't be anything for me during the summer sale.
>>341834018
Do you guys think there'll by at least a 30% price drop for rise of the tomb raider?
>>341835180
No, but probably a 25% one.
What are you guys planning on getting during the sale?
>>341834859
Maybe you can help me with that
>>341835116
>((((((DRM Clients))))))))
>>341834018
I don't fucking care
I never cared about Steam, ever.
10 years of putting up with you Valvedrones. Literally worse than Blizzdrones.
>>341835116
>m-muh DRM
>muh freedoms
>muh bloatware
>>341835116
>getting shitloads of backlog collecting dust for any amount of money
you discover some gems that way but god damn looking at all those unplayed mediocre games is depressing.
Don't fall for sales, only buy if you are dying to play that particular game.
>>341834636
I actually installed steam on my phone in 2014 (I think?) for the 6 hour long deals
What's even come out in the past year that's worth keeping tabs on anons? I might just follow a handful of games and limit myself to only buying them
>>341835340
>>341835386
Sorry I have a social life and want to just play a game without dealing with all that extra shit.
I have enough control over the game even with DRM on it, I never need or want to do anything that DRM would hinder.
>>341835364
You don't have to care, but for people who do care about steam, the summer and winter sales are fucking insane
>>341835491
I personally have this rule where every dollar that I pay for a game should be at least 1 hour of playtime. If I pay 15 dollars, I should expect to at least get 15 good hours of playtime. Any more than the 1 to 1 ratio (for example 300 hours on a 60 dollar game) is just extra.
So if I buy a game on sale for 5 dollars, and enjoy at least 5 hours of playtime on it, then that was worth it in my eyes.
>>341834348
>ditching all my tf2 stuff
Is there any kind of site that gives you an easy way to check if your stuff is worth anything?
Haven't played TF2 in forever but I have a decent number of items (mostly promotional stuff I think) so maybe I'll sell some off if they're worth anything so I have a little more to spend during the sale.

I've got about 450 dollars in my inventory
I might get rid of it before the economy crashes
>not already owning everything worth buying on steam
its hard to get excited for sales because its never anything i want
The only two things I'm interested in are Dragon's Dogma and if the sale can somehow top the shittiness of last year's.
>>341835687
>>341835772
Didn't the stutter typing and the greentext convey the idea that I'm mocking the people who spout that shit?
>>341834018
>>still purchasing directly from steam
>>341835862
DD is on PC now?
Huh, must have missed that.
Might check it out.
>no flash sales
>no daily deals
>only games on my wishlist are DSIII which wont even go 50% off
I wish I could get excited

well shit. I just bought a bunch of things through paypal off gog.
Guys, why don't we all just stop talking about video games and fuck instead?
Rocket League, yes or no?

PIRACY ALL YEAR ROUND
PIRACY ALL YEAR ROUND
PIRACY ALL YEAR ROUND
>>341835798
Bummer, unless my inventory inside the Steam client is just out of date it looks like nothing I have is worth much beyond a handful of bucks.
is there anything worth getting on steam?
like 4 years ago i used to just buy shit because it was cheap
now i don't even think there are any games even worth looking at, let alone buying
at best i might accidentally install it, at worst, it'll just pile up with the rest of the shit that i never play
I don't know what the fuck I'm going to do this year.
I have almost $90 in Steam credit because people gave me gift cards for Christmas (which I still haven't used) and again for my birthday. Great, right?
Except I've lived through enough Steam sales to have already taken advantage of all the best deals that come around ever year. Furthermore, despite having almost 400 games on Steam, the rate at which I actually spend money on games is (and always has been) so slow that spending $90 will take forever. I think I bought one game for myself during the last sale, and if I remember correctly, it was funded by trading cards I sold on the market.
It's been years since I spent more than $5 on a game, not for lack of money but because it's just so easy when you don't care about having the newest meme game ever year. I'm so spoiled by cheap games that $90 seems like an infinite amount of money.
The only way I'm going to get rid of this is by buying games that came out this year like some kind of disgusting millennial normie.
I have maybe somewhere between $5-$8 in cards. I may as well sell them and get this over with.
>>341834018
hoping i can get rabi rabi for %50 off, a game with such shit graphics shouldn't be $20 anyways but i will tolerate it just this once
I can't wait to not buy Portal for the 16th time.
>>341837453
>look for the sticker
kek
>>341834018
I think I've purchased maybe 8 games on Steam since 2006. This year I'm considering trying out one of the Total War games if it's on sale because I'm not in any private video game torrent trackers and I'm too paranoid about torrenting games on public ones.
Who gives a fuck about some sale that literally only exists to take advantage of Valve fanboy retards who think they're doing something better than their hated console peasant enemies by forking over hundreds of dollars like the consumerist sheep they are for digital licenses and a total of zero physical, tangible products. The steam sale itself is a meme like Black Friday only even more retarded because you aren't actually getting anything but digital files. You're getting played like fucking saps, wake up you mindless drones. There are no savings, you aren't actually buying anything but a digital certificate that says "Anonymous F. Aggot is hereby granted permission to install this entertainment software through this DRM client until we decide to retract his access to said software". You're renting the games. You won't have boxes of video games to pass on to your son or younger relatives. The thousands of dollars you've spent on Steam will amount to absolutely nothing beyond the immediate future.
>>341835798
>my entire shit is worth 500$
Help how do I sell everything, I'm always desperate and a slut for a quick buck.
>>341836391
Yes, but it was designed to be played with a controller.
>>341836563
Steam tends to host most games that get published
The only games steam doesn't sell are console exclusives and things like EA games that only get sold on origin
>>341837816
The steam marketplace is the fastest place, just put everything up for a few cents less than the lowest price, unfortunately steam escrow will rape you out of like 15% of the profit
The date was leaked a month ago by russians
stop posting old news you retards
>>341834018

DOOM

>>341840623
Get syndicate and primal off of there holy shit
>>341840861
Oh, shit - I was on the fence, but this seals the deal.
>>341840861
I've seen a lot of glitches where it showed that some games were 180-400% off, meaning that it showed the game cost a negative amount of money, meaning you'd get payed to buy the game
>>341840810
Not me because I don't have friends
>>341840810
I'm just going to wait for the actual Friday the 13th game.
>I could sell my Holo NiP sticker and be set for the next 3 sales
>or use my paycheck before AX
Why can't the sticker be worth real money.
My friend has been begging me to get Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed to race with him. The only Sonics I've ever played were 1, Heroes, and Unleashed. Is All Stars Racing Transformed fun/easy to get into?
Oh boy! I can vote to stay in the EU then come home and enjoy cheap games
>>341840964
>Not me because I don't have friends
You don't need them, you either play with 3 (or killer) other strangers or 4 steam friends
I'd only recommend it ONLY if you're ok with the game maybe dying after the first month and some other bullshit like the bugged ranking system, and some occasional cheating and people alt+f4ing
>>341841285
Playing with randy isn't as fun as playing with friends, so I usually stay away from games where I have to play with randy
Are there any sites to exchange steam wallets funds with actual money?
>>341834018
we already know.
And who cares? Steam sales went to shit, 3rd party key resellers have better deals all year long.
>>341841668
I have waaaaaay too much disposable income to deal with 3rd parties. I can literally blow nearly 2k dollars on video games right this second and it would not affect my living conditions whatsoever.
