I use it because I don't play laggy as fuck games enough for it to matter. I don't speedrun. It has the best netplay and that is probably the main reason I emulate SNES nowadays.

It literally can't run the new FE4 translation patch while every other relevant emulator can.

If you're using it because of the UI then you can literally get the same UI for snes9x/bsnes.

back in the day, ZSNES had quite an edge over, say, Snes9x in general performance: if you were rockin' a 200 Mhz Pentium and wanted to play that updated fan-translation of SD3 or Tales of Phantasia, you knew which .exe to double-click.
>>
>>341822359
Other emulators are better, but ZSNES has nostalgic value and it's comfy af so I can't really change it.
>>
While we're on the subject of emulators, why the fuck do I see people using MAME for mainstream arcade games? It's only worth the huge fucking hassle to get running if you're trying to play some obscure game that other arcade emulators don't support.

I have no idea if this was the emulator, but whatever.

One time when i was trying to play Kirby's Dreamland 3, I got to one of those canyon levels (don't remember which one specifically) and in it there was a part where you were supposed to drop down through some platforms before te autoscroll crushed you, but for whatever reason Kirby would just "bounce" back on top of the platform when I tried to go through it, and I couldn't go forwards at all.

that's literally just the ps1 version being emulated and it's well known the ps1 versions of all the snes square games have load times and run like ass

I just downloaded ZSNESv1.51 the other day and started playing Super Mario RPG on it but I noticed the game locks up typically when I'm in the menu screen, mostly equipping items. I Googled and found others have the same issue, some said it also happens when they some of the stars. They said a solution was to force it to run in PAL mode but it still locks up for me. Shit's annoying.

Chrono Trigger is my most played Zsnes game and I've beaten it numerous times over New Game+ with all the endings; all save states filled. I don't how you managed to get your saves deleted or corrupted.

>>
>>341826008
No matter what I did when trying to get Neo Geo games running on MAME a couple months ago, MAME said there were files missing. FBA works just fine, so I've not bothered trying to get MAME working since then.

I don't know how else to run NAOMI games though, so I just gave up on them. All the fighting games I want to play were also released on the Dreamcast. Apparently DEMUL will run NAOMI games, but only if the CHD is decrypted, and the only way to do that I've found is to run the games through MAME first, which gets me back to square one because MAME still says that there are files missing.
