Sony figured this out a long time ago: make a splash at E3, get people excited, people buy your console. The game will come out when its done. That's what E3 is for.

This, the average development time this gen is they slap on a year. Xbone has no games to launch the Scorpio, while their competitor has a dozen.
All that power to win over the multiplat crowd, except the most premium would be PC at that price range, while the Sony crowd twice the install base will look towards Neo due to compatibility of their games upgrading.

Announcing games that won't come until next year, and most likely late next year at that, or don't even half release dates to speak of yet is really the only thing I didn't like about this year.
Most of what MS showed and had announced for this year had already been shown last year, though, so it's really not that impressive. Still nice to see, though.
