No looks pretty good if you need to jump in now.

Personally I'm waiting for the rx 490.
>>
>>341805537
How does the 490 compare to the 1070 performance wise? I'm actually mostly just doing advanced research, I won't have the money to really buy until about july-august.

>>
>>341805362
if i were you i would get the 15 6600 for more than $100 less. almost same performance with oc
>>
>>341805362
At a quick glance it seems solid, just double check that everything fits the case and that the PSU is enough for your needs.

>i5
>>
>>341806240
The i7 only makes a difference if you are rendering/editing video
>>
>>341805745

We don't know yet. Some speculate it's HBM2, better hardware, etc etc.

Either way I think by august we'll have some news. I never drop money on cards until both amd and their nvidia equivalent are out and I compare. If I'm gonna use them for 3-4 years I don't wanna impulse buy.
>>
>>341806240
What is this greentext supposed to mean? Is he wrong? Is there some reason not to go for the i5? I'm definitely willing to cut some costs, but I'm hoping to keep the performance relatively high.

Will this run current gen games at 60FPS?

Hol up, is that mobo and that CPU compatible? I thought i7s were 1155

Other than that seems viable.

Don't forget the poptarts tho.

Ok.

Just check that the mobo is compatible with your cpu and you should be golden, also I suggest you switch the 144Hz monitor for a 60Hz Ips panel, its not like you will be playing at more than 60 fps with a 1070 anyway, unless you like playing at medium settings.

Yes, but it could be better.

Better GPUs in its price range will be out soon.

500W and bronze rated is not a good look.

You simply don't need one.

Are you retarded? A 1070 at 1080p will get over 100fps in most games. You have no clue what you're talking about.

How about this?

What's wrong with wireless adapters?
>>
>>341812295

Well wired is always better

As a guy who tethers his phone though, wireless is a godsend as these phone usb cables break easily
>>
>>341812295
Wired is always better, even if that means running an ethernet cord 20 feet across your home.
>>
>>341812674
I actually run a giant ethernet cord through my entire house into my router.

Somehow my cats haven't eaten it

Just get a an RX 480 instead and put the money you saved towards a better monitor also you mite want to go for a beefier power supply to be safe.
>>
>>341812141
Try this http://pcpartpicker.com/list/2LcnQV

I would also wait for non founders edition cards to be released.
>>
>>341812674
Ayy I do that.
>>
>>341813106
I took note of some of those changes, though I do want to stick with the Acer monitor, plus I won't be buying it until about September (hopefully the non founders will be out) I believe that this will be a final draft, however I'm open to recommendations

I would throw in an SSD since they're so cheap these days, but besides that it looks alright.

By September we may have Vega and Zen hardware either our, or close on the horizon. Even if you don't wind up getting either of those they could prompt price drops that would let you move up another tier.

If you're planning to buy a monitor you might do that first, a good monitor is going to potentially last through several builds. The same is true for the case, I know most people here will advise you to skimp on it but paying a little bit more for a case that doesn't have sharp edges, or that has easily removable drive mounts, or nice cable management will give you something you can carry forward for future builds.

>>341814930
I used this to pick pretty much everything on that list. The problem is just that some of these options appear on multiple different budgets so I'm seeing if there are any places where I can make cuts at the same rate
