Please please please please please please please kill yourself, fallout 4 is a fucking masterpiece and improves on the shitty mechanics and graphics of new vegas and fallout 3. Boohoo theres a few less dialpuge options. Actually there aren't dipshit, get the full dialouge mod and youll see, not only that some dialouge is hidden behind other options. Fallout nv is garbage it makes my eyes bleed everytime i try to play it. The animations are god awful and non- realistic, the shading, environment, everything looks like a piece of shit. There are no settlements or any crafting in the vanilla game besides repairing, ammo, and a few schematics. The aiming system is trash, why in the fuck would you make a aiming reticle that looks like that. The shooting feels superficial like its just a gun slapped onto an oblivion spell. It has no realism at all, there are no fucking physics whatsoever. There are plenty of games that have come out before that, that looked way better. The characters look like fucking potatoes and child molesters. The game is ugly as sin, end of story. And all of the "technical rpg elements" that you are missing from this pile of shit can be found via mods on the nexus. Please stop whining every day several fucking times a day about how new vegas is superior to fallout 4.

It's the exact opposite. In 3 and NV you could easily get all skills almost to 100 by level 30.
In 4 you could get all perks, but you would need to be level 275. Therefore, you have to specialize.

Skills were not as relevant as perks and levels. In Fallout 4, skills are gone which allows you to get as many critical perks as you want very easy considering there are infinite levels and idiot savant is a thing.

No. Skills were much more important than perks in 3 & NV. For example you could easily get speech to 100 which basically breaks the game because you can do finish all quests only with dialogue. Also increasing skills was not bound to certain levels as perks are in 4.
This makes much more sense, because now you cant level up your weapon damage/sneaking etc. to max in the first 5 levels.

I paid money for this... Even though I bought it before the hike... Fuck. Bethesda has really fucking lost it...
I thought after New Vegas they would have learned how to do it properly... I had hope even though Skyrim was mediocre at best and a pile of shit at worst, that Fallout 4 would be good...
They used to make games I could enjoy and escape reality from and lose myself for hours. Even when I was tired out from gaming, it was something I could fall back on.
Hell, I even saw the red flags since Morrowind... But even then I had hope they'd realize their flaws and bounce back next game... and next game...
Now I just don't know anymore. I haven't found any other game like that, and keep falling back on Morrowind and New Vegas...

Oh fuck ya, I'm a huge idiot. I knew Bethesda was going down the shitter, but I still had hope. In the back of my mind, I still thought of Fallout 4 as a wild card. It could of have been good, it could have been Skyrim with guns, or it could be unplayable shit.
With the DLC, I expected something like Fallout 3 and NV. New places, new items, etc. Instead half of it was settlement junk.
The first time playing it was good... Seeing the game being the most polished title they've released. Exploring these larger cities, noticing the AI spraying bullets in my general direction when sniping, and seeing some of them trying to flank my position, the feel of power armor being tanky, and when I eventually got the jet pack for it and flying around from roof to roof.
But then trying to replay it as a new character quickly became boring, repetitive and began noticing the flaws in the design. Following the same perk path for quality of life, a lackluster selection of weapons leading to less build variety. A lot of settlements being uninteresting for the sake of settlement building, some of the wacky shit like immortals and alien blood, diamond city and their baseball armor, the fucking minutemen and other stupid shit...
First playthrou at launch and remember getting to the top of a construction site filled with super mutants and overlooking the city... Thought it was worth a screenshot.
Chances are, this will be my last Bethesda game.

fallout 4 was a cash grab made in the interim between new TES games, they're clearly making a new engine now FINALLY, or otherwise the game wouldn't be 2 years out like todd is suggesting
you will load up skyrim remastered edition or whatever and you'll play with the new class of mods they've figured out that allow new animations to be added (bethesda is probably working with modders to extend support for this, i bet) and you'll sit there all merrily

But Skyrim was shit. Smithing, unnamed generic loot with randomized enchantments and infinite quests killed any exploration I had for the game.
I even heavily modified it and it was still boring. Only fun thing going for it was the Crossbows from Dawnguard and being a Werewolf.
Hell, I remember breaking a quest for some lady at a lumber camp because I found her dead husband first. Ended up mauling her as a werewolf and eating her corpse in front of her son before taking off and returning later to adopt him.
Sometimes I'd like to think my guy's raising him while never knowing I was the one who viciously murdered his mother in front of him. Breeding hatred for my kind all-the-while training him how to fight them. Then maybe one day I would show him the truth and let him make his own decision.
Course that can never happen, but was a amusing thought all the same.
Been playing the fuck out of Morrowind the past couple of weeks. Coincidentally before noticing all the topics being made about it.
