I like what they're doing internally, and Zelda really showed the fruits of what they've been working towards. Really mixing it up with their dev teams to get the idea train rolling. Seeing how Aonuma listened to Zelda fans, and Miyamoto doesn't plan to give us another 3D world with SPD and EAD merging into one, I can see Sakamoto working on a new Metroid game with the younger employees like Aonuma and Miyamoto again. Yes it does, I've played FPS in the past and they were fast paced. Prime could have easily be this, but what we got was boring combat, poor platforming, artifact hunts, scanning everything, and tank controls and movement. I like Prime myself but it would have been far better as a third person action adventure. "Action Adventure" wasn't that the same genre the 2D games were hmm.

That's like exploring the conflict between cops and petty thieves. It's incredibly simple and black and white so is it such a huge priority for them to go through this? Hell the Federation Troopers themselves don't even have names, faces, or even visual indications of emotion so you don't get attachment to your character at all. The chibi style also makes it hard to take said conflict seriously anyways. Also because the locations take place in three distant planets one can't exactly see a personal vendetta going on. If the Pirates were say destroying Federation ships or harming innocent civilians that could've worked I guess. If you're going to expand a universe might as well do something more interesting than "4 marines get inside mech suits and beat the crap out of Space Pirates who were making weapons or some shit"

If we were to ever get another chance at some Metroid multiplayer, I would be disappointed if there wasn't the inclusion to play as other species of bounty hunters. New and old.
