The internet turned the cake shit into a meme. If I recall, it wasn't even (or barely was ever) mentioned in the sequel, because the devs knew better than to go there.
Is there anyone who actually DIDN'T like Portal 2?
I know the other posts in this thread are just shitposting, but I'm asking if there's any legitimate hate for it and would like to know what ruined it for them.

it was never advertised to have difficult puzzles, it's a valve game based in the half life universe so it's a story-based action-platformer.

I think the problem is the first game genuinely took a bit of thought and time to succeed, The 2nd put story front and centre and made it all a bit easier.
both games go in my top 10 list for sure. The tone of the games are super different, kind of an Alien/Aliens type thing going on. Portal 2 is the only game I replay.

Agreed. Portal was a game that was amazing for me the first two times I played it. Still fun on replays but there's only so many ways you can do the same puzzles.

Portal 1 is so much better, Portal 2 just hits you over the head with the narrative and drags on for way too long, i will say it has one the best endings of any game I've played though oh and seriously fuck gel puzzles.

The twist at the center is what makes Portal 2 great
The end, imho, was fairly simple and made enough sense to be likable, but it's definitely not "one of the best" ever
