Try out Unholy DKs because people said it's fun. Extra minion with All Must Serve won't stop attacking the dummy, no way to unsummon or stop attacking, been a compliant for a while. Skim over the talents, a handful require the ability to burst the plague, can't without the active ability from Apocalypse.
Also just about every class I've tried is nothing but a builder/spender. Melee or caster, doesn't matter.
Although Shadow Priest is fun as fuck.

Blizzard has literally no idea how Death Knight works and if you paid any attention to anything, you'd know this. Remember back when Soul Reaper was going to cost a death rune? And everyone had to remind them that doing this would fuck everything up? The people designing and balancing the class had and have no fucking idea how it works, and they don't care to learn. They made the Archimonde DK frost trinket add frost damage to obliterate, in a pathetic attempt to make 2h frost a thing again, then were immediately reminded of why they dumpstered 2h frost in the first place (no one likes eating crit obliterates in pvp). What this meant is that the biggest gear dps increase in the expansion literally doesn't exist for DK frost, because they never changed it to something that would benefit dw frost, and this is on top of nerfing every other trinket heavily that dw frost used AND nerfing the shit out of the spec because it came out of the gate strong on patch day. They forgot entirely that the spec wasn't going to scale for shit, even though it's been true ever since dw frost was a thing.
In short, no one with a brain at Blizzard plays DK, and you are a retard for not noticing despite apparently caring enough to post about it.

Then they respawn 3 mins later, no longer marked as rare to you and thus no longer dropping any neat loot, but available for the next guy to come get when he's ready. No more camping, no more rarity, and most of the non-toy shit they dropped was completely fucking useless anyways since it was all BoP.

But I wouldn't put it past them that they're looking at it all in one, as in a server for every expansion out the gates. A degree of catchup mechanics are important for a healthy game. For starters, top-end players would really like to have a recruitment base of players that can carry their weight at some level and as such be worth giving a trial to. Capable new players also deserve those means to prove their worth such that they won't forever be stuck with bads. And ultimately, it is the low-end players that keep the cogs of the economy running while making up most of the population such that it actually feels like a world, and they ultimately need a carrot once in a while to keep them occupied. In addition, having a variety of different sources for gear available (including a reliable but time-consuming kind of sources) is makes for a more interesting game.
TBC did this but no more. Catchup gear was not enough to make any tier obsolete (indeed, it helped to keep Karazhan and 5-mans relevant throughout the expansion). It wasn't available from trivial content (even with all the nerfs heroics suffered, they still were fairly respectable at the end of the expansion). It required a high degree of time investment, especially if you stuck to the easiest heroics. And besides a few individual items like Shard of Contempt (which kinda comes with the territory of having non-mindless itemization: some items simply are well beyond their league), they were well obsolete for actual progression raiders by the time they became available.
Hell, if TBC catchup gear was a problem, you might as well say AV rep rewards or buffed dungeon loots (often times superior to anything in T1 due to non-awful itemization) went over the line. If there's a problem, it was most of T6 being easier than T5, which might cause an illusion of new gear rewards having made it "obsolete".

Arms used to be fun as fuck and incredibly powerful in MoP, and look at what they did to them.
Most DPS specs on PTR can be summed up in:

It's fine to the right degree. It's healthier for the life of the expansion if, much like you detailed in TBC, they can keep multiple levels of content relevant for longer. However towards the end of TBC they started to phase out that design with badge gear. Now content is pigeon-holed into the current version update and whatever item level comes with it. It causes a lot of middle ground players to lose interest over the life span of the expansion.
It's a horrible position they've put themselves into, like during Vanilla thru say early Wrath, I wouldn't have dreamed of bailing on my guild as long as we were trucking along at a pace, win or lose. But nowadays people will free lance around to make sure they get theirs. I guess Mythic avoids those problems, so maybe they should give more incentives for harder content.
Come play on kronos wow instead, vanilla private server. Best scripted server out there with fully functioning Bgs, raids etc

Actually, HFC has a lot of mastery on everything specifically because it is a good stat for warriors now. The problem is that it all also has a lot of crit, which is completely useless for dw frost. Further fucking the spec is that they don't get a weapon from Arch, while pretty much everyone else does, and that their bis weapon has shitty stats. Frost has had a tough run, and if Blizzard had just not fucked with shit, they'd have probably been just fine in HFC.
The saddest part is that when they were doing all this nerfing, Skullflower, one of the most visible DKs in the world, got hired by Blizzard, so he immediately inserted their cocks into his mouth and told everyone that all the nerfs were fine. Blizzard nerfed the UH trinket so hard that it became completely unusable on every single fight, and just some math would have been enough to prove this, but he laughed it off and agreed with the balance team.

Getting the predator title was actually a nice romp and it took quite a while to finally kill them all. It's definitely not something you can just sperg through in a couple hours, and it'll be even more difficult to do after WoD is opened to crz.
