Saria is the sage of the Forest Temple (in the Lost Woods) and the Forest Medallion.
Fado is the sage of the Wind Temple (on the Great Sea) and the fiddle that Makar inherits.
The only time (I think) we've seen sages get replaced is Medli replacing Laruto as Earth Sage and Maker replacing Fado as Wind Sage.

I want a Zelda game that actually does justice to its side characters for once, seriously. The absolute best parts of most Zelda games is the colorful characters you meet along the way, and the part that most people give the least fucks about is the actual story involving Zelda, except maybe in the few where she's actually fleshed out in some way.
I'm not saying I want Bioware romances in Zelda games, but make characters like Malon and Saria relevant beyond the ten lines of dialogue they have for fuck's sake.
