Hear me out, but Microtransactions were one of the best things to happen to PAYDAY 2.
It acted as a filter for a lot of the shittier parts of the community. The ones who were so bad that they genuinely thought that the edge they lacked was held out of reach behind a DLC paywall. The ones that care more about their preconceived notions of what the meta would be that they never learn how to actually play the game right, resulting in them never getting a Loud Death Wish heist under their belts.
Update 100 was a great thing for those who stuck with the game because they enjoyed the gameplay, since it was the added bonus of now the business practices potentially getting better, but now it's bringing back all the shites who never really stuck with it and pub heists are now worse than ever.

Payday 2 is the only game where I've played with people so bad that I've compiled a list of names and moments to look back on with fond memories. I've also listed moments of glory and it's considerably shorter.
In Payday 2's case I would say that the developers are more cancerous than the community.
I honestly hope Overshill goes bankrupt and this franchise dies out.

The problem with payday 2 is it has potential to be a lot of fun especially with friends and decent people. But 90% of the community is shit, hackers or people that try way too hard. Or kick you with out saying a reason. Like use the text or voice chat let me know you're trying to get a achievement. The other issue is overkill is crazy and only half listens to the community and rarely seems to try to improve the game without thinking of it as a whole, like infamy knocks 10% offskill points but with the new skill system that means pretty much nothing. I am enjoying the new skill system more. I just wish I had more decent bros to play with.

Sure all the DLC and cash grabs suck but the community so far is the friendliest I've encountered. Installed the game a month ago cause backlog and, not only was everyone patient 3 people added me and we hadfunrunning through highest difficulty heists and failing at trying to be stealth in that game.
