Mine is the Logitech G633 Artemis...

>Wireless.
>7.1 Surround.
>Collapsable auto muting (when hidden) mic.
>Compatible with all of the my major consoles, PC, mp3, cell phone, etc.
>Lights up and impresses young females.

Seriously wondering what headsets some of my /v/ brothers and sisters prefer though?
>>
Just get normal headphones and attach a mic to it
>>
>>341720773
AKG K553, with a Samson Go! microphone ghetto-attached like a headset mic onto it.
>>
>gaming headset

It's like some people like to pay premium for figuratively shit.

You weak, pathetic fool... your imaginary gf must have to settle for "Netflix and chill".

Seriously, does /v/ not actually game? I usually only see nooblets posting here...this is your last chance, /v/. Are you really all just hentai fappers that think Toonami is cool?
>>
>>341721253
It's like some people want to take full advantage of surround sound in certain FPS where it might actually makes a difference in gameplay, you poor noob.
>>
>>341721162
Those are one of the headsets I use when mastering the levels on recorded music in my home studio... never thought about using them for gaming. Good call though!
>>
>>341721370
There's no advantage in putting like eight tiny speakers right next to each other, they'll just have worse sound quality because there are so many of them

Astro A40 with Mixamp
>>
>>341721370
But it's imaginary at best. You get the exact same level of surround awareness from literally any modern headset/headphones. There is no such thing as a surround feature anymore, it's just there. Fucking earbuds offer perfectly fine surround awareness.
>>
>>341721478
Really anything with good soundstage, clear sound and nice bass will work for video games. I had headphones with pretty hard sibilance, it was kinda fatiguing listening to music with them at first but for gaming it worked well
>>
>>341721545
Wow... what they say must be true.

>/v/ is (mostly) made up of squeakers.
>>
>>341720773
>>341721284

The bait was weak.
>>
I got this for my birthday 2 years ago. Wireless is pretty cool but the battery only lasts 2 hours though - used to be at least 6 hours.

I don't know what a squeaker is. But that may be because I am a squaker
>>
>>341721870
A small child, squeaky voice and all.
>>
>>341721636
I actually wanted these but I can't imagine buying one for my ps4 and another for my xbone... good choice though.
>>
>>341721905
Well, /v/ is the most underage board after /b/ and they're here making threads about headsets
>>
>>341721908
Can't you just use a different adaptor?
>>
these are maximum comfy

NVX XPT 100
>>
>>341721801
Yeah... because this is a bait post. "You weak, pathetic fool" is actually a popular gaming quote... go ahead, google it, noob.
>>

>I'm 37 years old.

Good meme... you should have used it on the kid who claimed pretty much any pair of $20 earbuds work as well as anything else.

V-Moda M-100 with Boompro, paired with Creative E5.
>>
>>341722029
I'd be afraid to throw down $250 to find out that they sound like shit on the "other" console. Does it have an app for custom mixing?
>>
Hd650 hands down.

I could settle for a hd598 or 558 in a pinch

I use a yeti for my mic
>>
>>341721370
Surround sound in headsets is always a gimmick. Two well made drivers will have much better quality and directional audio than shit surround sound simulation.
>>
>>341722441
It looks like it might but don't go by what I'm saying. I wouldn't want to make someone spend a lot of money over my mistake.

The problem with A40's mixamp to me is that it hisses. I have considered the Mixamp before, but the hissing turned me against it. Having said that, it can decode Dolby 7.1.
>>
>>341722319
Obviously paying more gives you better quality sound. But realistically you have no reason to spend money on a headset with a SLIGHTLY better microphone, for overpriced and gimmicky shitty "muh gaming" features that don't do jack shit.
>>
>>341721636
I owned these for a couple of weeks before getting some sennheisers.

The Astros were the biggest pile of shit. Built well enough, but sounded like asshole, the dac it came with was trash, and the mic made other people's ears bleed.

For that price why not get the hd558 or something similar?
>>
>>341721817
I agree with this guide except dont get a shit clip on mic but a decent table mic unless you wanna rape everyones ears
>>
>>341722503
But HD650 is an open-back set of can. Soundstage is damn good, but again, it's got no isolation.
>>
>>341722686
Why not get a real DAC like the schiit modi 2?
>>
>>341722686
>headset
>Dolby 7.1
>laughing girls.jpeg
>>
>>341722750
I've never had any of those problems. My friends always said that I sounded crystal clear over the mic and would ask what headset I had.

I prefer open cans for music, movies, and games. Sound better in every way compared to closed.

Really the only time I could think to use closed is for traveling in public places. But I'd rather use IEMs in that situation.

Don't do this to yourself. It really is just a 32ohm version of the Beyerdynamic DT770, which you can buy at $170. Put a Modmic on the side and you're done.
>>
>>341723207
So which one of these is the best?
32,80, or 250?
>>
>>341722709
It's only $150 bro... not like I'm buying a $1,000 gaming chair. kek
>>
>>341721817
dont buy grados
>>
>>341723671
For 150 you could get much better sound quality if you just bought normal headphones

I got the xbone headset, its comfy and works great.
>>
>>341723935

I have been using Sennheiser HD518 with a modmic for a year now and have been satisfied

Should've maybe went with HD558 but I haven't had any complaints with the cheaper ones
>>
Haha fucking poor peasants using their """""Gayming headsets""""

Because i'm not poor, i use Beyerdynamic T1 (Gen 2) and about to buy Sennheiser HD 800s.
Mic is obviously Modmic

32 is meant to plug into say iPhones. If you have a proper amplifier, then I'd opt 250.
>>
>>341725151
HD 800 is light, maybe better as a gaming headset than LCD-3.
>>
