Until I see it with NPC and actual villages I can't truly give an opinion. Like what they are talking about and showing. However I worry it's too empty. Never been a big fan of open world and felt Zelda when done right (OoT and WW for 3D) tend to give just enough freedom but never to a point where I feel like I'm aimlessly doing nothing.

+Items seem to have many uses and puzzles have multiple solutions
+Get dungeon tier items from just shrines, which actually incentivises exploration
+Lots of little touches and details
+Shadow of Colossus style climbing on almost any surface is super neat
+Multiple weapons and armors
+Lots of neat little details and interactions between stuff
~World looks like it like it has lots of nooks and crannies but also lots of open space with not much in it
~Difficulty. On one hand, random Moblins seem as easy as ever, but some things seem to do a lot of damage which is a fix to what Wind Waker onwards had issues with.

Crafting is the only element people are crying skyrim about, and it doesn't even implement it in any kind of an "rpg" way. There's no skills you're grinding up to get better at, you just pick up items and can make stuff out of them.
I'm not going to say much of what it's really doing is brand new, but they're bringing these elements from here and there together and pretty well done. It's not like because a game did something, you have to cry every game that does something is a rip off. Climbing with stamina was a good idea in Shadow of the Colossus, Zelda added it but applied in to most every surface in the game.

Wrong? Zelda BOTW was the best game at E3 2016 and probably will be the best game of the year (and, possible, that is going to be the best Zelda game ever). It is something you punks should be glad for.
