Ace Combat's gameplay is simple and dull as balls
None. Just install the Freespace SCP and re-play through it again. Or you can play some of the fan made campaigns, they can be pretty fun. A few have voice acting that isn't so fucking terrible that you want to die. Derelict is pretty solid.

There is no space combat game as cohesive or well written, but Rebel Galaxy does a good job of making capital ships fun to fly. I measure the worth of a space game by how many podcasts o get through and I've listened to all of Nerd Poker to Rebel Galaxy.
