How many more years do you think it'll last before third party software development slows down to a halt for it? I give it 2 more years, 3 maybe if you count localizations being late by a year.

Finished Persona 4 Golden a few days ago which I regretted. Now I'm playing Dragon's Crown which I'm having fun with. Muramasa Rebirth and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir are next. After that I need to find some more games to buy.
Man I really fucking want a Vita because I love handhelds and I missed the last 2 handhelds gens, but it feels kind of late to jump on a dead ship
I hope sony do another handheld next year or something but it seems like both sony and nintendo are gonna give up on them

Get a cheap used one off of Craigslist with a memory card then buy cheap used games physically and buy Vita games on sale. You can buy and play digital PSP and PS1 games too.
There's usually one or maybe 2 good sales a month, and a flash sale every month.

I'd like to play that one, but it'll be awhile. I was going to buy the English version of it since it's much cheaper than the Japanese version and I wouldn't have to switch accounts to use the DLC. But then I found out how awful the localization is. It seemed good from what little I watched of the beginning, but then

Most of the fuckups are on unimportant stuff like the line messages or unimportant npcs, but the bakemon thign is getting on my nerves.
For the most part it's serviceable. If you do know japanese it might be worth spending something extra just to get the real meanings

The screen on the OLED is better, the Slim is better in practically every other way over the OLED besides the screen. It's thinner, lighter, has better placed grips in the back, sides are slightly curved so it's nicer to hold, better shoulder buttons, better start select and home buttons, better battery life, and handles better in the sun.
It's way overblown on here with the differences between the two screens. The LCD is fine. You won't notice a difference between them unless if you compared them side by side.

You got this backwards. They translated it as monster(bakemono) when it should have been bakemon. But yeah the translation is definitely B grade. Bamco doesn't give a shit about good translations. I can't remember the last time Bamco did a good translation. Every single vita bamco release has been butchered(SAO, Hearts R, Digimon).

I don't know about that. I just heard about it and looked up a video where they fight some weird looking black/grey monster that they referred to as an Eater, and afterword, started calling it "Bakemon". I looked up the Japanese version of the scene in case my ears were being shit, and it does indeed say "bakemon" in the subs too. I lack full context, but I do know that bakemon is short for bakemono (which means ghost/monster, that's where the Bakemon Digimon's name comes from), so it really should have been translated as something else. Monsters, creatures, whatever. I can understand making that mistake, since there is a Digimon called Bakemon, but I'd think after seeing it referring to creatures that aren't that Digimon multiple times, the translator(s) would have picked up on it.
It sounds like it gets sloppier the farther into the game you get, so they were probably just rushed and payed too little, and never got to do real quality checking.
