It all sounded plausible until the anniversary collection. Why would Sega make that when almost all of the Sonic games are on Steam? Instead Sega could just put The Fighters and Sonic R onto steam and redo Sonic DX to make it playable, and idk put it all on sale for a month?
Also, taxman versions of Sonic 1 and 2? Why would Sega sell fanhacked versions of classic sonic games?

Taxman and Stealth are two SonicRetro modders who got recruited by SEGA to remake Sonic's 1 and 2 for mobile platforms. They not only recreated the engine perfectly, but they added new elements such as a fully-realized Hidden Palace Zone for Sonic 2!
It seems to be the first and only time where SEGA has actually listened to the fans and collaborated with them in order to make a superior product.

What do you guys think of fire and ice now after the new trailer and gameplay from e3? Im surprised at how much better it looks. Its clearly just a tie in game with a small budget but it still looks pretty fun and i love the cartoon. The first boom 3DS game was middling but had its good points to. I just came back like an hour ago from preordering it because i want that dvd.

The almost exclusive push for classic Sonic merch this year (with the exception of some Boom stuff) supports this. Plus the Sonic twitter livery.

all i'm hoping for is a new sonic game, with sonic fucking speed, good gameplay, and maybe have some other playable characters like shadow. my wish is that it continues the main 3d sonic story, which i think the last one was shadow, with a new crush 40 song. i dont fucking get why they had to move away from that and get worse. fuck you sega, i swear this is your last chance.
