Steam sales have gotten progressively worse for years. They're shit now. There's no reason to even bother unless you want a six+ year old game that's been heavily discounted since 2010.
Everything else is 10-20% off and there's no point in checking beyond day one.

The games not being worth it past the first day shouldn't even be considered an opinion. Valve got rid of the developer's ability to change prices mid-sale in order to rouse up last minute sales for amazing prices, most likely to prevent people queuing up refunds the minute there is a flash sale. It means that almost all developers will pick a safe discount number for the duration of the sale, making the experience extremely boring.
