Well, I would. When you board the scarab, there are elites that are in a control center you can assassinate because they are operating on the computers. Its probably not thinking on its own.

I don't think it was a OHK unless you shot first.
But since it was Halo 2 and all melee had lock on, it was pretty damn easy to kill people faster than they could respond.
